Mr. Kostas Zannis, founder and President/CEO of Microshop Computers and it's corresponding communication department VoIP.gr, graduated in 1989 in Manchester UMIST with a BSc degree of Electronics. In 1992, after working for two years in AB Electronic systems in Cardiff Wales as a senior electronic designer, he acquired an MSc degree in Integrated Circuit (IC) design.
In 1993, during his national army service, he was chosen to be an assistant lecturer in electronics in the army school of aircrafts.
Parallel with that he was a part time teacher in software in one of the most well-known private schools in Athens, Ellinogermaniki Agogi.
Based on the opportunities he saw and the contacts he had made, both with some of the computer manufacturers and with major Greek corporations, Kostas decided to start his own computer business. In January 1994, as a personal business and then in April 2000 as Microshop Computer LTD. Initially providing only field service deployment, break-fix, and hard-drive upgrade solutions to large corporations, the company has expanded over the years and currently offers a complete line of life-cycle management and communications services to the SMB market, major corporations, hospitals, and schools across the wider Athens area.
From initial hardware purchase, placement and installation, to repair, data migration/redeployment and old technology disposal, our company can satisfy a broad range of IT needs.
As Kostas has said many times over the last 25+ years of business, "Our philosophy is very simple – we are committed to excellence."
